A visionary with his dynamism creates and the truly  dedicated follow through. Such is the story of the  making of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, conceptualized by its Founder,"Swami Chinmayananda".

His whole new concept of shaping a new generation of youngsters who will live the philosophical truth of their culture and their spiritual beauty in their everyday life, lay at the heart of his dream to open a new school. It started as an experiment to mould the impressionable minds of the children. His mesmerising presence and enigma worked miracles. Against many odds, foremost being acquiring of the school land in the year , the project still saw the light of the day. It was Swamiji’s close follower, Swami Jyothirmayanandaji who with his untiring efforts championed the cause. The less frequented rocky terrain of Vasant Vihar was the chosen site of the school and today the same school has become a school of repute standing out as a ‘School With A Difference’
